| article by sir malloski of FAS komradzLipoly, lipo or Lithium Polymer batteries are not like your ordinary stock Ni-Cd batteries. They provide so much power in a small package. Here are some things to consider when working with Lipos. * Lipolies have special chargers, Other charger types (like Nicd or NiMH chargers) simply won't do. If LiPo batteries are improperly charged (using a non-lipo charger) they can cause an explosive fireball. * Lipolies don't have "memory effect" which are inherent to Nicds. Avoid Cycling (discharge-recharge) * Lipolies have to be stored with a partial charge, storing them fully charged is possible however... it is recommended that you store the fully charged lipoly in the refrigerator. That's right... I keep all my lipos inside the fridge. According to KONG POWER (which is a leading lipo manufacturer for RCs) this method extends battery life. Refrigeration also removes bloating. REFRIGERATION TIP: store the lipo in a sealed container (like Ziploc bags or one of those airtight lockabale plastic containers) and wrap the lipo in tissuepaper to keep moisture away. WARNING: do not immediately use chilled lipolies as they might produce some condensation. Just leave at room temperature for half an hour before using.* Lipolies are very sensitive to discharging, most china-made lipolies get "unbalanced" quickly once the voltage drops below 3.7v per cell. So as a precautionary measure... do not over discharge. Discharging a LiPo beyond it's critical minimum voltage will cause damage to the battery. * Lipolies used for Airsoft and RCs usually have 2 or more cells that are wired in a series to produce the output voltage. The nominal voltage per cell is 3.7volts.. therefore: > 1 cell = 3.7volts > 2 cells in a series is 7.4volts > 3 cells in a series is 11.1volts these cells need to be "balanced", because If one of the cells is low in voltage then the workload of other cells increases. Thus, the battery temperature rises and so is the internal battery resistance. The overall output of the battery is greatly affected and might result in "bloating". * If in case your lipo was hit during a game and the battery is damaged, don't put the battery in your car or house immediately after the incident. It's possible that a chemical reaction can take place in the damaged battery that could cause a fire. Put the battery in a safe place for a least one hour. | |

| I have tried and tested this process long before Komrad Malloski posted this to FAS, Sa kanya ko natutonan tong pag reref ng lipoly, Just a warning, pag nag reff kayo ng battery, sabihan ninyo mga kasama ninyo sa bahay na battery to para di nila ihalo sa mga Isda at karne na prenepreserve, mangangamoy pag nagkataon. believe me, hirap tangalin amoy lalo na pag natabi sa isda. hehehe.
Also an advice, pag nabuntis lipo ninyo, whag ninyong butasin ng pin mga seal nito na kagaya ng ginawa ko just to release the air inside, lagay ninyo sa freeser and you will see, mawawala hangin. don't forget to balance it again and check each cell before you use it.

| HSF - Heat sink fan joke lang po sir ....heat shock factor po pala in other words parang indestructible po kahit ma-hit or mahulog accidentally and di rin nag-oover heat sans no need to torture it through the dreaded ref test po. nway pa-reserve din ng lipo sir mahirap na baka magkaubusan na nga | |

| Actually sa freezer dapat. Charge fully muna then store mo sa freezer. | |
